German inflation cooled in May, rising 6.1 per cent from a year earlier


Recently, according to data released by the German Federal Statistics Office, after the further decline in energy prices, German inflation in May cooled, May CPI rose 6.1%. Inflation rose 7.2 per cent in April from a year earlier. Energy prices rose 2.6 per cent in May from a year earlier, compared with 6.8 per cent in April.
