"Three increases and one drop" boost foreign trade confidence
After more than expected growth for two consecutive months, my country's export growth rate fell in May. The General Administration of Customs recently launched 16 measures to optimize the business environment to further stabilize social expectations and boost confidence in foreign trade development.
"International trade can flourish only when import and export logistics are smooth. At present, the annual import and export freight volume under the supervision of the national customs has reached 4.8 billion tons, and the inbound and outbound transportation vehicles have reached 13 million (frames, ships) times." Director of the General Administration of Customs Wu Haiping said that in the face of such a large-scale import and export logistics, the customs must be driven by reform and technology to continuously improve the efficiency of logistics supervision, and strive to achieve control, liberalization, and fast passage.
Last year, the General Administration of Customs issued 23 measures to stabilize foreign trade, providing solid support for my country's foreign trade to hit a record high. Wu Haiping said that while continuing to focus on the implementation of popular and effective measures to ensure smooth traffic, the "16 measures to optimize the business environment" focused on the concerns of enterprises, and researched and launched many new measures.
